Jennifer's New Videos Are Posted In www.Gundogsonline.com

Check out the new videos posted on Gundogsonline! This was my first experience with dog training videos and it was quite an adventure and lots of fun. Thanks to Matt Wettish (camera guy and video editor) along with Geoff English and PJ Rubin at Gundogsonline. We hope to team up and produce many more informative training videos in the coming year. Let me know what you would like to see and learn in these dog training clips. We'd love the feedback!

Bearing down for the big Nor'Easter!

We are ready for this big storm! The dogs always love to play in the snow. It may hamper our Quinebaug Kennels company Holiday party for tomorrow night, but Jay is creating his culinary surprises and as always we will enjoy wonderful gourmet treats and some fun times.

Jennifer took Jan, Patricia, Joe and Adam to Boston last week to watch Cesar Millan the Dog Whisperer. He is a favorite of ours, and his 3 1/2 hour live show was fantastic. As always, we all love to attend dog clinics and seminars, and we love the opportunity to learn.

The kennel is currently booked for Christmas and through to the New Year. We are taking new dogs for boot camp and gun dog training the first week of January. We train year round, and are filling up quickly already, so be sure to call the kennel and book ahead if you are planning to incorporate your pups training into any vacation plans.

Happy Snow Shoveling to our New England Friends!!!

Well, it's been TOO long since I spoke on the blog! I plan to begin more blog stories and regular updates about kennel news, updates, and happenings. This will be a wonderful opportunity to keep in touch with you all while I winter in Florida and Georgia. I leave on January 8th and will stop on my way to visit Elsie my German Shorthair Pointer who has been in field trial training in Georgia. On the 15th I am taking a Dave Rorem retriever handling clinic. Once in Florida, I will be working with a training group rotating at a variety of training grounds with technical ponds where I will be concentrating on working Treat, Valley, and Flagler (Sassy's 2 year son) for competitions.

This past Fall kept me super busy with lessons and dogs in our full time training program. I took the opportunity to get lots of hunting in. I hunted daily in September and October for pheasants at our local management areas. In October I hunted opening weekend in Massachusetts for ducks and had a wonderful time with some great mixed bags of birds. Then we moved on to some woodcock hunting right in CT. Just last week I hunted coastal Mass. again with fellow trainer and friend Ray Voigt. We blasted the Eider ducks one day, then ducks and geese another. Lots of fun! Thank you to friends Pete Reid and Mark Sherer for those great hunts!

Right now just busy with my web designer updating the site and preparing for the holidays and the travels ahead. I look forward to hearing about all of your hunting stories and dog adventures. I will keep you all updated in the weeks ahead. Happy Holidays!!!
